Dothan Alabama Personal Injury and Accident Lawyer Aaron Gartlan of Gartlan Injury Law settled a claim without filing a lawsuit with State Farm Insurance Company on behalf of a good hard working Henry County Alabama mother and her two minor children that were injured in a car wreck. She is the wife of and was referred by a friend and former client.

The other driver ran a stop sign which caused this crash. Further, he made the admission at the scene that he was at fault and was distracted by reaching to the back seat of his car to get his cellular phone. As a direct cause of the other driver’s negligence, his vehicle crashed into the vehicle that she was in with her children, and they all sustained bodily injury.

She was transported on a back board and stretcher with a neck collar by ambulance immediately from the scene of the accident to the Emergency Room. She presented at the emergency room suffering in severe pain all over. She specifically complained of head ache and neck, back, right leg, left wrist and right hand pain and had an abrasion on her right lower leg. Pain medications were administered at the Hospital and x-rays and CT scans were ordered. The clinical impressions were neck, dorsal, lumbar and wrist sprain. She was prescribed pain medications and a left wrist splint. She was diagnosed with lumbo-sacral, cervical, strain and wrist sprain and strain and was discharged via: wheelchair.

She followed up with her doctor and received an injection in her hip and left hand due to the severe pain. She later followed up and received another injection in her left hand due to the severe pain. At that time the doctor’s impressions were left wrist sprain/DeQuervains tendonitis. She was instructed to continue to use the splint, prescribed pain medication and to do ROM exercising.

She suffered severe pain for several weeks after the crash. Specifically, she experienced the above referenced pain and her legs were swollen and her body was bruised. Further, there was pain and discomfort from being restrained by the seatbelt. The pain was so extreme that it caused her to lie in the bed and cry on several occasions. Additionally, her family had to undertake her normal household obligations such as, cooking and cleaning for her family, and this was very difficult and on everyone and resulted in mental anguish since her children were involved in the crash with her.

One of her children was driving and suffered a tremendous impact, as the crash was on the driver side. This resulted in his head slamming directly into the wind-shield, even though he was wearing his seat belt. He presented at the emergency room suffering in severe pain all over. He specifically complained neck pain. Pain medications were administered at the Hospital and x-rays were ordered. The clinical impression was neck sprain, and he was prescribed pain medications. He was diagnosed with cervical strain.

He was bruised and sore for several days after the crash. This resulted in him missing one day of school, and he was unable to assist with chores for about a week, which is all very important to him. Further, he has been forced to watch his mother and brother suffer.

Her other child was transported on a back board and stretcher with a neck collar by ambulance immediately from the scene of the accident to the Emergency Room. He presented at the emergency room suffering in pain all over. Specifically, he complained of face and leg pain, an abrasion and a laceration on the eye lid. Pain medications were administered at the Hospital and x-rays were ordered. The clinical impressions were abrasion of the left eye and a right leg contusion. He was prescribed pain medications and was diagnosed with abrasions and contusions.

He was stiff, scratched, bruised and sore for several days, partly from being restrained. He missed three play-off basketball games, which is very important to him. Further, he was been forced to watch his mother and brother suffer.

When she came to see Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm, she was not sure how to handle the case and deal with the insurance companies and outstanding bills. Again, the claim was settled with State Farm without filing suit. The Law Firm took control of communicating with the insurance companies and medical providers. They obtained all of the medical records and bills and important documents and made a demand on the insurance company which summarized the injuries and damages. Aaron Gartlan and the Law Firm also resolved the subrogation issues and outstanding medical bills, which helped to maximize the settlement for this family.
